What StrongStart courses do I need to apply for a Family Child Care provider license?

To apply to open a Family Child Care program, you must take the following trainings online in the StrongStart Learning Management system:

These trainings are also available in Spanish, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese (Mandarin).

Once you complete your online pre-service training, you must attend a “Potential Educator Meeting” (PEM) held at one of EEC’s regional offices. You can register for a potential educator meeting in StrongStart. PEM events are also held in Spanish, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese (Mandarin).

Educators must also be certified in First Aid and Current Certification in Child and Infant CPR. Online courses for First Aid and CPR are not accepted, completed training must include a demonstration of skills with a certified instructor.
