Overview
Early childhood educators give so much of themselves — emotionally, mentally, and physically — that burnout can sneak in, often unnoticed. This series helps educators reconnect with their “why,” learn the science behind stress, and build practical routines for renewal. Through reflection, discussion, and mindfulness practice, educators will leave empowered and re-energized.
Objective
- Recognize the signs and stages of burnout in themselves and others.
- Understand the root causes of educator stress and how the early childhood environment contributes to burnout.
- Differentiate between stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout.
- Explore self-regulation and co-regulation strategies that build resilience.
- Develop a personalized “Refill Your Own Cup Plan” to maintain balance and well-being.
