The Deeper Dives into Trauma and Resilience 6 module series will provide educators with strategies to apply trauma-informed and responsive practices to support children who have experienced trauma and avoid retraumatization in programs across EEC’s mixed delivery system. This training series is for early educators and program staff who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of how to apply their learning within their program. Participants are strongly encouraged to complete the self-paced Trauma and Resilience for Early Childhood Educators course in the StrongStart LMS before attending for this opportunity.  

After completing this series, you will gain knowledge and strategies in:

• Recognizing and responding to trauma and avoiding retraumatization
• Promoting resilience, hope, and agency for all children in their care
• Applying the Guiding Principles of Trauma-Informed and Responsive Practices in the context of early education and care to promote:
  • Safety
  • Transparency and trust
  • Healthy relationships and interactions
  • Equity, anti-bias, and cultural affirmation
  • Empowerment, voice, and choice
